•Call it an oversized shirt, or an overshirt style. The Hilda is mostly cut from the un embroidered remnants of an antique bedsheet. A washed and worn in cotton with the perfect starchiness for a crisp poplin shirt. A subtle asymmetry is achieved by combining this textile with a vintage eyelet trim on the oversized peter pan collar, large french cuffs, and one of the front panels on the shirt. The piece is finished off with a long necktie and ceramic buttons handmade by Carmen a few years ago.

RESCUED MATERIALS

AIDA has provided most of the fabric selection (vintage and antique linens) used on these garments and Carmen has rescued fabrics and trims from her archive that didn't make the cut during the design process of previous collections. The styles were designed in conversation over the course of the summer/fall months via FaceTime. <3
